Power Women Animating

Our WCW for this week is none other than @bruktawittigabu.

Bruktawit (Brukty) Tigabu is a multi-talented Ethiopian TV producer, director, animator and school teacher who has created and produced Tibeb Girls, an African version of the Power Puff Girls. The show is aimed at highlighting the prevalence of child marriage in Africa, with an emphasis on helping young girls escape from their dangerous situations.

The series is a fun, action-packed and informative program that highlights the heroic antics of three adolescent heroines who use their powers to free and empower young girls from the dangers of being child brides. Bruktawit Tigabu hopes that this animated series will be able to make a difference in preventing child marriages in Africa by promoting the message that it's never too early or too late to start saving girls from becoming child brides!"
